Not a record-breaking snowfall
but we'll take what we can get!

The 3-4 inches we got was enough to bring out the sledders to the embankment sloping toward the Neuse River Amphitheater, but the surface was getting worn thin by mid-afternoon Saturday....

Smithfield's Public Works team had most of the town's streets
cleared of snow first thing Saturday morning.
That made moving about much safer as the day wore on.
